Do you know what the author's AO3 name was? I can't find any old links there. Or if you have a direct link (even broken) from AO3 that would be best. Then you can check the Wayback Machine. But I've only been able to find it on LJ, which is all locked. Have you tried messaging the author?
It looks like there's an ao3 account by the same username (postcardmystery) but the only Sherlock related fics posted on there are from the Elementary fandom. Thanks for the advice though.I'm probably going to try the Wayback Machine again, as the only link I had was through a rec list from Tumblr. And if all else fails, attempt to contact the author (although I'm always wary of asking, because I know some authors don't like to be asked about previous and or deleted fics)
Do you have a defunct AO3 link from tumblr? All the recs I found led to the LJ. They are apparently on tumblr as http://soyonscruels.tumblr.com/ and their blog is active relatively recently if you don't get a response through LJ.
I just checked my bookmarks and both the rec posts lead straight to LJ, as well. Thanks so much for the tumblr link!! I think I'll message the author through there instead since you said it's pretty active.
