Oh WOW. This is fantastic! You know what I love best about it? Your grasp of metaphor and figurative language. It's BEAUTIFUL. The metaphor of John as the sun was spot on and lovely and just...I don't have enough words for how happy it makes me! In fact, I think this is my favorite bit:

The rest of him is basking in the glow that is John, photosynthesising emotion, feelings, life for the first time in far too long. John - good, beautiful, amazing, fantastic, bright John, whom Sherlock will never, ever deserve and whom Sherlock can never lose again - is here.

YOU USED PHOTOSYNTHESIZING! That's just breathtaking. Just wow. Thank you so much for doing such an amazing job. I can't wait to find out who you are, anon, so I can thank you again!

Also, I want to say that I almost made this a safe piece because it's my favorite of the fics I've written. I'm so, so glad that I didn't, otherwise I wouldn't have been treated to this magnificent fic. Thank you so much!

The way you keep the metaphors - particularly John as the sun - consistent throughout the story really ties everything together so beautifully. And I really appreciated that Sherlock understood why John left, and acknowledged that he was right to do so.

So very lovely. I love the repeating metaphor of John as the sun, and Sherlock needing to orbit around him. Beautifully done.

Oh, oh, oh. This is... staggeringly melancholy, in all the right ways. Just lovely!

Fantastic fanfic, based on a fanfic, based on fanfic! (That's a lot of fanfic.) onedergirl29's original is one of the first stories I read in this fandom and still one of my favourites, and you've done an excellent job on this remix. Well done.
