Subtle and elegant. It may take Lestrade a long time to process, but I would never say he wouldn't be able to come to terms - despite the pain.

So fond of that "currently less annoyed".

But the whole is so well done as a remix - the skill that went into constructing both this (with its es) and the original (without es) is breathtaking. I don't know how either of you did it! But the tone too carries through - that stunning sharpness of observation and sentence structure, the rolling rhythm of both towards conclusion. Smashing piece of writing!

This is gorgeous! You've captured the same relationship dynamic as the original and thrown in some beautiful Reichenbach angst. I love Greg deleting the text and Sherlock resending it.

I really love how you wrote this. First off, doing all e's is incredibly tricky, but you managed it beautifully.

Second of all, there's such a restlessness to this piece, a barely-contained and almost frantic rhythm. It's almost exhausting, but in a great way, especially for the emotional pay-off at the end. I loved the back and forth between Sherlock and Lestrade, but what really made this for me was just the energy and pace that your authorial voice had. It had me constantly leaning forward, almost reading too fast, to see what would happen. Wonderful job!
