so I haven't yet read this story, but I noticed that it's tagged with the name of a remix participant who isn't the author of the original story... I don't know if that person is the author or the remix, or the beta/britpicker, or was just accidentally tagged at random, but in any case, I wanted to let you know asap so you can take it down!

...and I'm looking forward to reading the story! I adore the original, can't wait to see what the remixer does with it.

This was really lovely and sad. I like how the story is in reverse chronological order and how it incorporates both the original fic and the events of series 3. You did a wonderful job of showing us how Sherlock feels for John and John's confused feelings for those in his life and how there are no easy answers. Wonderful job!

I really like this! The style is smooth and yet very heartfelt. I can really tell how hard poor Sherlock has been pining! I felt like his view of the situation was tragically simplistic - John is unhappy (as you would be after all that) therefore clearly Sherlock isn't enough for John and he needs to be with Mary (and Sherlock needs to engineer that for him, rather than leaving John to make the decision on his own). It's that peculiar mixture of high and low self esteem S3 Sherlock seemed to display, you capture it very well.

I loved the reverse order, I thought it worked really well, working back from Sherlock's decision to engineer the Christmas reunion. Lovely remix!

I really love the format of this - reverse first, as it were, and the way it works through the stresses and the contradictions in Sherlock's own thinking.

Aw, you unraveled the fixit! Still, a more convincing return to the status quo than canon managed. Poor Sherlock.
Very nice use of reverse chronology. Knowing the original, it was so painful to read back, step by step.
