There are no word to express my unbridled squee at this. The closest I can offer is the following keyboard smash: uescrkde5yh8o; ms

All of it was fantastic, but this was beyond a doubt my favorite bit: (Which was itself due to an improbable set of events that made him feel sometimes as though his life were being written by a screenwriter. Or possibly as though John's and Sherlock's were, and Lestrade simply became caught up in their story whenever he entered their periphery.)

I love this pairing, so to see someone else playing around in the same sandbox and kicking such ass while doing so...XD

tldr: I love this fic and you, whoever you are, for writing it.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, even with the somewhat ridiculous premise. Thanks for providing the source story; I'd been meaning to write a John/Lestrade story but hadn't gotten around to it yet, so it was awesome getting assigned to remix you for this exchange.

Hee, superhero!John! Lestrade's reaction to this realization is delightful.

I also love the bit about how John and Lestrade got together- it is witty and fun. :)

Thank you so much! One of my favorite things about canonical Lestrade is how he prefers to reach conclusions in a stolid, systematic way, but is still willing to entertain ideas that at first glance appear ridiculous, and I really enjoyed getting to explore that aspect of his characterization here.

John as the quiet, unobtrusive superhero. Makes so much sense!

Now it all makes sense - John is a superhero! This is wonderful!

Thank you very much! I do think that his being a superhero would explain some of the otherwise difficult to reconcile aspects of his personality. :-)
