I passed!

While I won't actually get to meet with any of the members of my committee until after break (while is more than a little frustrating), the little bits of feedback that I did get today indicate that, while I do have some things I need to do more successfully in my orals, they were pretty happy with my exam. I am SOOOO proud of and happy for you (although not surprised because you are super-smart ;) )! So does this mean you are mostly done with your coursework there?

I know, my dear - it's been forever! (And happy belated birthday!)

I've been done with coursework for awhile now; this means that I'm almost eligible to write my dissertation - I need to take my oral exams and get my proposal approved (hopefully both by the end of April), and then "all" I have left to do is write my dissertation. Whew!

I hope things are going well on your end - we definitely need to catch up soon! And I'm probably going to have to go to Harvard at some point soon to do some work for a few weeks, so perhaps I come visit!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! :) It was a lovely day (well, other than having to work, LOL).

Wow, that's still a lot of stuff - but still, you have made it so far, and that is fantastic! Be sure to do something nice for yourself to celebrate. :)

Ooooh, let me know when you come to Harvard! I love driving the Mass Pike so I wouldn't mind coming out for a day or a weekend or something. As for a phone call, does sometime this weekend or next work for you?

I'm hoping to make the Harvard trip sometime in September, but it might be as early as May . . . it depends partly on funding, and partly on whether or not my friend ends up coming with me. I have no idea where we'll be staying, but I'll definitely keep you posted!

I'm on break for the next week, so any time this weekend or next week would be fabulous for a nice, long phone call - if I don't hear from you soon, I'll call you!
