i FINALLY have my internet access back! you're the very first person i'm telling this to :-)
damage to house and possessions is indescribable. fortunately, the computer is upstairs, and untouched (and so ist the bed, and my clothes, and the heating system and water heater). and i'm okay, although overworked, stressed, and having a bit of an allergic reaction to mold spores.
if i ever have to move house again, i'm going to look for one on a nice high hilltop...
