I know, when I was writing it, I felt it was a kind of bittersweet tale, knowing that they never really did make peace with each other before it was too late. This was my attempt to at least have Patrick know how John felt before the end. I'm glad you liked it.

*sniff* Well damn that brought tears to my eyes. It is sad that they never got a face to face to work things out - as David mentioned in the funeral ep - Patrick had changed his view on John and regretted what had happened and at least if what happened in your beautiful tag had happened then Patrick would've known that John had changed his view on what happened between them as well.

Thanks. I do like the idea that at least Patrick had a chance to see that John did regret the way things had been left between them and that he had a hope that he'd get to see John and make amends. Of course, we know that John never did see his father again, but at least this way, Patrick could have had some peace about his son, I think.

This is great! I love reading fics from Patrick Sheppard's POV, and this was wonderful. I loved the way you captured his thoughts, and John's voice in the video as well. He sounded perfectly in character. It makes you wish they'd had that chance to work on their relationship. Fantastic work!
