I love this story! Fantastically written and such a fascinating premise. You really balanced both the action and the events of Season 1 with the deeper issues of people trying to balance human-cyborg relations and the prejudices and misunderstandings that would naturally evolve out of that. I just love this - made me think but also had me on the edge of my seat as the expedition survived their first year on Atlantis. Excellent!! Off to recommend this! :D

ETA: Someone beat me to it on the Stargate Gen Rec site - I'll rec on my own LJ instead!

this is pretty much made of awesome. I don't know BG reboot or original very much, enough to know what cylons are and that the reboot had hidden ones in the fleet. i love the nod to Asimov's robots and the human prejudices. i loved how this worked out amongst the exiled expedition forces. i'd read more of this 'verse.

oh, this didn't have a lot to do with BSG beyond the hat tip. yes, I stole shamelessly from everyone, from Asimov to Brunner to James Cameron. :) but I'm terribly pleased to know you enjoyed it. thank you very much for commenting.

This was one of the most original and amazing stories I've ever read. Such a fantastic combination of SGA, BSG and Asimov's vision. I would love to read more cyon John stories. I'd love to see a mission with MacKay, if you were so inclined. Thanks for posting this.

thank you for the lovely comment! I don't have any particular plan to continue at this time (unless something hits me) but I have an open policy on all my universes and characters that anyone might pick up the reins and play in my sandboxes whenever they please. so if a cycon!Sheppard & McKay mission idea strikes you, by all means I think you should dream it up and write it down and post it. I would love to read it! And I'd be happy to beta it.
