Thank you. I'm nervous about this snippet because I couldn't get it to feel quite right-- but I was messing with it so much I was starting to do more harm than good, so I just cut it loose and posted.

*collapses in relief* I've never written a missing scene for someone else's fic before. I'm glad you liked it! It still doesn't feel quite right to me, but I was fiddling with it so much it was starting to suffer... so I just said the heck with it and posted it.

This gave me a great excuse to go back and read the original fic before reading this missing scene. That put it in the proper perspective. And I have to say that this fits in seamlessly. It was a perfect addition to one of my favorite stories - thanks for sharing!!
