I must say/agree, like others before me have said : THANK YOU.

Seriously, I mean, I started shipping this in the first episode and have been SO wanting to see some fic for it (it's such wonderfully fertile ground for fic with more character development, conflict, drama, angst, smexiness and tension than you shake a stick at) and I see I'm not the only one... but apparently none of us knew where or how [?] to start... Thank you for treading those waters first and [hopefully] giving the rest of us incentive to write some more for this [shy] ship. :D

The concept of this fic is almost deceptively simple but very deep in its own implications: Mark becomes addicted to someone who gives him incentive to be better and try harder; Dimitri gets to live his life and gets to rejoice in living his life and defying "destiny"; all of the things that were "just there" or "inconveniences" [like a sore booty from hard lovin'] are now glorious reminders of life and are savored as being something more than what they are or were once thought to be ( ... )

Thank you, I'm kind of a strange writer, I can bounce between majorly cracky humor fic, down to some pretty dark, disturbing images and most of the areas in between.

Mostly I write a more descriptive(I think) style, but I have a few different styles in my other fandoms, Supernatural, Merlin, Primeval etc.

This fic was actually rather difficult to write for a while, I ended up redoing it about four times before I even sent it to be betaed.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the fic, and I hope I'll be writing more sooner or later, but I'm trying to finish the other stories I have going first.

Just wanted to let you know that after I finally read some slash of these two, you prompted (or gave me enough gumption) to actually make a community for them [especially since I have been waiting for someone else to make it but since no one has by now, just decided to go ahead and make it myself, lol]: not_set_instone

I would love it if you would post this there - if you want to, that is.

But the community is still brand new - like, just-made-a-few-minutes-ago new, so I may change the layout and all... */random ramble*

I'm probably going to write more FlashForward stories, but my muse is a fickle b...eing so I'm not sure when I'll be writing them.

Guuuuuuh. There needs to be way more of this out there. Mark/Demetri seems such an obvious (AND HOT) pairing, the way those two carry on... It should get way more attention.

Anywho. Thank you for writing what I lack the energy to write. And skill. lol.

UNF.

Ooh, nice. I like that though this story is from Mark's perspective, it's so Demetri-centric; every sentence was "Demetri this" or "Demetri was that". I also like both the good and bad sensations that were highlighted as reminders that Demetri was alive; it made me think of the idea of Demetri maybe allowing Mark to hurt him, because it reinforces the fact that he's still alive. (Which may not have been your intended meaning, but it was the plot bunny that came to me when reading it.) The last line, also, says everything you need to know about them. :) Nicely done!
