I like them all. It's typical Rush. Practical and still managing to show how much more intelligent he is than everyone else. I really liked the corridor lift and the Stone poem for Riley.

Thank you! I thought that Young would always be completely taken by surprise in those moments, and Rush wouldn't even realize he'd done something nice for him...

So true. And If he ever tried to thank him later, Rush probably wouldn't even remember doing those simple things - the pen, the lift, the kite but I expect he might remember the poem.

I read it - lovely poem, very elemental.

Thanks so much for the kind words! I always thought the relationship between Young and Rush had great potential for serenity down the road, as the two learned to understand each other. What a shame it was never allowed to develop!
