Hi, just joined today although I've been lurking for a few weeks.  This has probably been discussed already since this movie came out a few years ago, but I just stumbled upon it this month (yay netflix!)  so in any case I was just wondering ( Read more... )

haha, man! Don't you love netflix?!?! I just discovered it too. I had assumed it was, and maybe it was because I was reading too much in to it. I just thought that he would visualize that house when he thought of "home" and when he thought of peace...maybe it's just me though...

I always assumed it was his house, in fact, someone on here wrote a beautiful interpretation of that art, describing it as their two houses straining to be near each other, and the wave crashing through the industrial parts, shattering it, so they can be together. I can't remember the name of the story or who wrote it though!!
