On We Go

Back on the bike yesterday, hurrah! I gave it a little tune up and then pedaled down to the trail and rode a way east. After a while I turned back and in Fremont I went to the store. With my pannier loaded up with yogurt and Pure Fit bars, I stopped to say hello to a very nice elderly dog--a greyhound and husky mix--and then pedaled uphill home. ( Read more... )

I've got tickets for the short film festival--both sessions. I know that oldmangrumpus will be there, too. I'm sure we can arrange a meet-up. I've already seen Cave of Forgotten Dreams, which is a pretty extraordinary film. As for Coriolanus, well, my experience with Seattle Shakes has been so spotty--sometimes good, sometimes awful--that I don't often hit their productions.

Glad to hear you're doing your fitness stuff. Thought I might see you at WW last night. You hitting a different meeting than the Queen Anne one, or decided not to give it a go?

Oh good, I'll see you at SIFF then. Let me know what plans are, eh?

We don't get much Shakespeare here so I go. Coriolanus is a tough play in the best of times so my expectations are low. But I support the group and I'm looking forward to this one.

I went to Queen Anne the once but I wasn't impressed and the cost, about $45 a month is about the same as a gym--but I can go to the gym everyday for as long as I want--not just once a week. I don't have much money, so I choose a gym.

Good luck with your efforts, then. I'm sticking with what I've been doing 52 pounds lost is all the evidence that I need that I'm doing what I need to do.

There are no particular plans for the film festival. We're just going to show up and watch movies.

Yup. It's definitely working for you. You're looking great!

I think WW is about teaching one how to eat and how to keep track of food. I already know these things. My situation is bit different.

Okie dokie. See you at the cinema.

We may or may not see Coriolanus depending on reviews -- we've seen great stuff at Seattle Shakes and really awful. Mark has grown quite picky. But, for sure we are up for the movie which looks fabulous.

The rest is a pass, Mark is not interested in the shorts (that sounds dirty) and we've been to the cave. I'll be curious what you think of the white alligators of memory. :)
