I love this so much! It's clever, and interesting, and light-hearted in a fascinatingly delicate way were you can see how easily it could not be, and really feels like the characters. Brilliant.

Great! Eerie, hallucinatory, wonderfully vivid imagery. The tone is just right, and so is the level of tension you maintain throughout. I love the Fleet, it's a great conceit. And the way it came together for me when Keith mentions an anchor was excellent. Well done.

I LOVE THIS. I love it so much! Now, have you read the Time Traveler's Wife? Because for the first few paragraphs I thought it was going to just be a bit like that, but then wow! You've just expanded the idea. There are so many bits I liked: But even for Noel, Sunday afternoon never lasts forever -- although once or twice it's stretched almost to Tuesday morning.

And and and: And maybe... maybe it's just deja vu, this one. Which made me worry you were just going to throw an And it turned out that Noel was just crazy! bit at the end. But you did not!

"The thing about that river, is... well, it does rather seem to attract things." Which was just the right amount of creepy for the story.

LOVE LOVE IT. What else have you written? I don't care if it's in other fandoms or original fiction, I want to read it all!
