Got mine!

It stresses me out that it's so early. Trying to plan it out with my friends but there's the problem of not knowing exactly what we'll be doing in July. Anyone know why they do it this far in advance?

Well tickets have never sold out so quickly....its just become so popular to go to that people are realizing if they want to go they have to just get the tickets. I mean if you can't go, there is a process to refund the tickets (info is on the website about it). Because it is so crazy this year, I already booked a hotel room for my stay as well in the off chance I can't get a room when the hotels release more rooms for CC in March when everyone else is going to be online trying to get those rooms....if I can get a room at the Marriott then great....I can cancel my other reservation just fine...otherwise I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn by the Bayside :) But I do agree its really hard to plan this far in advance....I've never planned so far in advance for something before as I have for Comic-Con this year (even when I planned a big trip to Europe seeing 4 different cities for 3 weeks I didn't book this far in advance haha)....but CC has just exploded and will be pretty insane next year I have a feeling.

The scary thing is that CC just gets bigger and bigger every year. Statistically speaking. I know they're worried about the SD Convention Center not really being big enough for the demand anymore. It really did used to be for just comic book geeks, but with all the major TV shows & films doing panels now, it's exploded.

Looks like you're at the Holiday Inn that's on the OTHER side of the SD Airport from the Holiday Inn we're staying at. (We're at Holiday Inn On the Bay with a group of at least 6!)

I wish I could say I've never planned anything this far in advance but, well, my best friend is OBSESSED with planning. There's only so far they will let you book travel plans ahead of time, but the whole planning process for her starts aaaaaaages before. We went to England in June this year, and had been planning it since November 2007. No lie. As for Comic Con? She went in 2008 (and I couldn't go), and we basically started planning 2010 right after that. LOL. She's nuts, but she's MY nut.

I have no idea why I typed by the Bayside...probably because I'm really tired...but yes I'm staying actually at the Holiday Inn San Diego on the Bay as well. Yeah I've heard that rumors though that because its so huge anymore they don't know about keeping it in SD in the future....I guess time will tell. Wow your friend plans more than I do for sure. Yeah I went to Europe in January to London, Edinburgh, Paris, and Rome and didn't plan/book anything for it until November...it was only about 2.5 months ahead of time, but it felt like a good amount of time though....haha. Have you been to Comic-Con before? Last year was my first year going....I went for a day to get a feel for it never having gone before, but of course wished I'd gone all 4 days :) I feel better now having gone because I understand how it all works there whereas last year I was a bit overwhelmed initially
