I'm serious, if the writers aren't taking us towards S/P sometime in the future (even if it's the distant future)... THEN WHY THE HELL ARE THEY DOING THIS TO US?!?
I realize it was SUPPOSED to be L/P, but let's just face the facts. S/P are more entertaining by a LANDSLIDE, and Jim and Kaley have chemistry like CRAZY. Penny and Sheldon have the best rapport on the show, hands down, IMO. (And L/P doesn't even come in 2nd, or 3rd, for that matter... if you ask me.)
Ok what wow'd me about this scene is that she didn't just quote him word for word, she understood what he meant and put it into layman's terms and THAT is incredibly amazing character growth on her part. She actually followed it, or learned what it meant and cared enough to commit it to memory.
I love that SHE remembered that. I don't even know if any of the GUYS would've remembered that.
Paired up against the fact that it took her a class and Sheldon teaching her, to understand the other stuff, later on ...it's odd that they had her recall the personal ticks about Sheldon off of instinct, but learn those that were specific to Leonard. Hmm.
