PROMPT TABLE RACE / COMICS/SCI-FI
This week’s fiction challenge is a prompt table race with the theme of comics/sci-fi. This challenge will work differently than the other fiction challenge, and it will also work differently than last session’s race, so please read the following rules carefully!
This is a race! That means that the first 3 fills for each of the 50 prompts--one for the 250-500 word bracket, one for the 500-1000 word bracket, and one for the 1000+ word bracket--will receive the points. If a prompt is filled, then move on to a different one. There will be threads below for you to reply to with links to your fills.
PLEASE POST YOUR COMMENT UNDER THE RIGHT PROMPT AND WORD COUNT!
You will notice that our prompt table currently has 25 prompts and 25 places that say "TBA" (to be announced). This is because we are staggering the release of our prompts in order to accommodate people living in various time zones and keeping various schedules. We hope this gives everyone a fair chance to grab some prompts!
The second wave of prompts will be posted on Saturday.
Participation in this challenge:
To be counted, you must comment to this entry with your fic--or a link to your fic posted at your own journal--with your team name in the comment title. You can be inspired in any way you want: literal, figurative, referencing, etc; and you can reuse prompts. This is another simple participation challenge, so now is the time to get points for your team!
Points for this challenge:
- 250-500 words: 20 points
- 500-1000 words: 30 points
- 1000+ words: 50 points
PLEASE NOTE:
(1) If a prompt has been filled, you may still submit fic for it, but you will not receive points.
(2) After the three waves have been completed, we will provide a simpler supplementary challenge for the remainder of the weekend.
