Aww, who knows about the smiley faces, but now we know that grilled cheese sandwiches (which I had for dinner the other night myself, hee!) are something else that Penny can share with Sheldon that she can not with Leonard.
Once again, thanks for the remarkable breakdown, lady! I laughed so hard rereading this and remembering the episode.
I liked Leonard a lot during the episode except for the rant at the end--exactly how you said it; it hit way too close to home for how he's actually been acting this season. But I enjoyed him geeking out and being funny and fun and having nonsarcastic lines.
THANK YOU for the bruised/bandaged Sheldon, and I'm sorry, whenever he managed to pickpocket the ring I found it unreasonably hot. And I LAUGHED OUT LOUD when he was doing the "raging waterfalls, dripping faucets" line because my sister does the exact same thing to me--word for word. Hilarious.
Sheldon: Who's Adam West? Leonard, what do you two talk about after the coitus? Howard: My guess is, 'Hey! Four minutes! New record!'
This whole exchange gave me hearts in my eyes.
which makes Leonard the muscleUm, yeah right! Just saying. Sheldon's definitely also the muscle of the group

Much thanks; I'm glad I could help remind you of the hilarity.

Pretty much that's it exactly.

I knew the former would be appreciated; and I did include a clip that had him doing that so that's two for two.
I totally and utterly agree about the P/L geek-shame vs. the P/S geek-pride. With Sheldon, you accept the whole package (hee) or you accept none of it, because he's not going to hide himself and he's not going to change himself. That is definitely the difference--like you said, Leonard is consistently ashamed and hides those

That is definitely the difference--like you said, Leonard is consistently ashamed and hides those aspects of his person, and if he's ashamed of himself, logic follows that Penny would be ashamed of what he's ashamed of, if that makes any sense. Not only does she accept and isn't bothered by Sheldon's geekiness, but I don't think we ever have seen her make a nerd reference to Leonard as of yet and she's made a few to Sheldon--not even counting Age of Conan, going to him for comic book advice, etc."This is something I've been mentioning for a while now. Sure, they're all geeks - to varying degrees - but Sheldon's the only one who actually seems to enjoy it. And as we all know, no true geek hides their geekdom - we want gadget-filled belts, t-shirts with geeky in-jokes, and if at all possible a satellite uplink

Awesome breakdown as always! Like you said this episode was HYSTERICAL ^^ I laughed so loud at Leonard's Mr T/Spock joke! And the "OHOO It's working alright... I have to pee!" It's just brilliant... You shipper analysis was so RIGHT! The writers must be doing this on purpose because you have to be blind to not see that Penny is uncunfortable with Leonard being a geek and with Sheldon she isn't... I don't know if I was the only one who want this but some could make a Icon or at least a normal photo when Sheldon is lowering his head next to Penny's at the punch scene? I Thought that that was soooo AWESOME and shippery ^^ Please tell me I wasn't the only one who saw that!
Thank you much, and, yes, it *was* hysterical. Laugh-out-loud so.

You know, I actually caught that during the watching of it, but forgot about it during the rewatch. I'm working right now (technically) and am not at my computer, but if no one's done it for you before I get home (in a few hours), I'll do it for you.
Oh, I too really wish that they had kept the apology scene. :pouts:
He stole it three times from Leonard without him noticing (those damn hands are sneaky), he clearly had time to steal it before Penny went to bed and he knows that he'd get mauled if he woke her up.
As someone mentioned in the episode thread, I think it's because he respects/fears Penny's physical threats -- he's used to such from his sister. If she's asleep, he has a better chance of succeeding in his task.
Being prepared yes, but women have weapons that men don't (kick to the nuts), plus also Sheldon wouldn't ever physically retaliate so he'll do what he can to avoid the physical pummeling he'll take.
Yeah, I did feel bad for Howard, but it was such a nice change up from last week where he was so unlikable, so I'll take feeling sorry for him over that.

I would be more coherent, but my brain is now giving me a picture of Sheldon as Indiana Jones. Sorry. :)
(I can't help wondering if Penny makes smiley faces on her grilled cheese sandwiches, too, though...)
And...back to the hat and bull-whip. *dribble*
