I was reading the description for one of my world views classes that I will be taking next semester, and it got me thinking.

What do people from other nations think, and what are they taught about Americans?

Another thing that got me thinking about it was a show that I watch. Yes I watch Top Gear. Don’t ask me why, I don’t know. I don’t give a rats

Honestly I wasn't ever really taught anything huge about the US - I remember learning about the discovery of the new land, then later on about slavery, and then about Pearl Harbour. As it happens in Uni I studied African American music so I studied a lot of early 20th century north American culture

I guess we kinda see the US like that... or maybe I should say that the impression we/I get from everywhere is like that... I've been in the US, and well, lets just say that it's very different from home. ;P ... but probably a lot alike too
