Good things about today:

1. I had barely sat down when my phone rang. It was the facilitator at one of our schools, wondering why their ITV class hadn't connected. After a bit of poking around, I discovered that the reservation for the class had been scheduled to end yesterday! Ooops- not sure how that happened, but at least it was easily fixable ( Read more... )

I grew up in Michigan, you know - I *KNOW* what winter can do when she wants.

For the first time in my entire life, I'm in a place under a "flash freeze" warning. I'd never heard of such a thing, but it seems that it's going to hit abou 71 degrees today, and stay that way all night until about 7 AM when this storm finally gets here. Then, we'll get strong thunderstorms with tornado potential, followed by this flash freeze - the temp is going to go from about 70 to about 30 in about 3 hours. That will, of course, mean that the rain from the thunderstorms will turn to that blessed rain-sleet-freezing rain-snow blend we're so famous for here in Central Kentucky.

I hate snow, but I sure wish winter would just START or go away. I haven't needed a jacket this week, and tomorrow is December, for heaven's sake! =)

Ugh, that sounds NASTY. Had one of those (or something similar to it) when we lived in Maplewood. It rained and rained and rained, and then froze- the next morning the cars parked in the "low" side of the parking lot were rim-deep in solid ice. (Gee, lucky me, I parked on the "high" side of the lot and ended up skating to work; yeah, that was a fun commute- NOT.)

I just giddy about my superpower being "cuddling". LOL!

Hehehe, I love ice storms. We had a huge one here in Lexington 3 years ago that shut the city down for a week. Some of the trees here at my office building still have ice damage it was so extensive. We lived in Richmond at the time, about 20 miles south and just across the Kentucky River. We got rain - no ice, no snow, nothing. My friend Scott didn't have electricity for 2 days and cable for a week, and we got rain.

My superpower today is no patience for quizzes that take forever and tons of clicking to get through... ;-)
