Oh, cat, so right. Especially the bit about Tim not thinking what he looked like with his pants off next to Tyra (I thought the exact same thing); and the whole - he wouldn't open her car door but he;d take a punch in the face for her...

I was quite anti Tim/Lyla in the first season - not least because she got on my nerves - but I have grown to like their relationship, even if it looks doomed half the time (although Buddy is doing everything to make it last in his misguided parental efforts to keep the two apart).

And your line about Tim's body being even harder - well, hello there, mind, meet gutter...

Tim is so dumb he's actually lovable. And somehow, surprisingly to me, I really get S3 Lyla. I was not a fan before now.

But maybe it's just the Tim.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments! I'm making canon up as I go along so hopefully it's not totally off (I'd love to find out what actually happened between Lyla and Chris - so far I've done cheating and amicable split...what else can I throw at them? ;))

Oh, good for you for trying! I'm still in the 'praying he will see the light and kick the cheating whore to the curb' camp. But I applaud your efforts. I'm sure you will be the happy one in the end. *sighs*

He was never going to be the guy that owned a proper suit. He was never going to open a car door for her or take her hand just because they were walking down a flight of stairs. He was the guy that would take a punch in the face for her. He was the guy that would eat raw pigeon and not complain, even once, because he thought it was what she wanted.

I laughed out loud at this -- so sweet!.

Yeah, he'll rarely do any of the more traditional shows of love, but eating raw pidgeon for you? If that's not devotion, then what is?

(Hell, it means he'll eat the worst dinner you ever make for him and appreciate it because you cared enough to take the time.)

I have to admit--I'm still in shock over your newfound Tim/Lyla love, but we've all taken a walk on the dark side at some point.

And I'm bummed that I was so busy this week there was no time for writing or reading...this damned busy life!
