The post-grocery-shopping roundup
- While I was grocery shopping tonight, and I managed to run the shopping cart over my own foot. Ow.
I feel like I should really start documenting all the injuries I inadvertently do myself. I am always walking into things, and barking my shins against things, and thwacking various limbs on things, and bumping my head when I stand up.
And don't even get me started on what I do to myself as a result of having long hair- I couldn't begin to count the number of times I've closed my hair into doors and then been pulled up short when I reached the end of my tether, so to speak. It's a wonder I haven't got a dislocated neck by now.
- Safeway has redesigned the bottle for their store-brand seltzer water. It has a Lion Rampant on it now. Because when someone offers you a glass of seltzer, the first thing you think is invariably "Scotland!"
- There was an abandoned hat on the ground in the cart return for some reason. I felt sort of bad for it. But I left it there, because I'm not really much of a hat person. Besides, how do I know it wasn't waiting there for its owner? Far be it from me to stand in the way of their joyous reunion.
- I don't know what I did to offend my car so badly, but she spent the entire trip giving me static shocks instead of talking about the problem like a civilised vehicle. Well! Two can play at that game! I have a carpet, and I have socks.
