They became BFFs with some other people with whom I am not (nor will ever be) on good terms, so I just couldn't trust them anymore. This is the only place I have to post personal things and get feedback and if they don't care, they definitely don't need to see that.

I'm just pissed off to suddenly hear "oh, so-and-so was sad when you unfollowed them and worried they'd offended you." REALLY?! They should've said something when I did it LAST YEAR.
I'm tired of people being passive when something DEFINITELY should be said or done. But that's usually the way things work, isn't it?

You know, there's actually an old prayer from somewhere, can't remember, where people ask for forgiveness for things that they have not done, but should have. It seems to happen far too often. And yes, if they notice one year too late they were unfollowed, they just haven't been paying attention.

I get disappointed by people a lot, too, so I know exactly what you mean. (Like that one friend who has apparently decided to stop being my friend and, together with her superdiduper boyfriend, start being the rock for poor, little, lonely, single me. -_-)
But I've always met new friends. I think that the whole "friends-for-life" thing is basically fiction, anyway. However, there are always nice people out there who will help you.
It just really sucks when you're in the middle of such crap.
