We're affectionately referring to the one on top as "the ugly one", cause she kind of is, but I think she'll actually be quite pretty when she's older. We haven't decided on names yet...They're currently called "star" and "twinkle", which are not acceptable. Suggestions? We're trying to come up with a pair of names from tv/movies/literature etc that are geeky without being obvious. And that fit the cats' personalities. We'll probably decide after having them around for a bit.
Hm...maybe if they were boys. I don't think I could call girl cats that. And it's a little too well known, after the movies. We want geeky names that would be under the radar for most people. Like, if we had gotten a boy and a girl, we were considering D'Argo and Chiana-from Farscape-which most people have never watched-but which would be cool to us.
Maybe as a title-the way Charles & Jessica's cat is Klaus, the Baron von Spunkmeyer...we could have ::some name::, Super Swamp Master... On second thought...no.
We should just name them "the ugly one" and "so-and-so", I think. Here's some of the names we're toying with: Jaka and Muriel (our WoW characters) Kraken and Kudzu (don't really sound like girls) Channon and Yelena (not sure if I like how those names sound aloud) Spider and Yelena (again, Spider's not really a girl's name) Tara and Willow (too obvious) We're not really happy with any of them...We'll see...I'm going to go stare at our books/movies/comics/etc and brainstorm some more...
I suppose it doesn't really matter...it just seems wrong somehow, though. I wish there were more cool girl-pairs in popular culture...why aren't there any kick-ass sisters out there?
Okay, the one on top looks just like the a kitten we had when I was younger who we named "Ragamuffin." And if that isn't a DAMNED FINE name for a cat who looks like that, then what isn't? And we said he was so ugly, he was cute... and it's TRUE.
So. Here are are a list of suggested names for splotchedy orphans and the like, that all sound really cool:
Guttersnipe, Ragamuffin, Hobo, Vagabond, Urchin, Mudlark, Tatterdemalion, and Punk.
Personally... I think having two kittens named Guttersnipe and Ragamuffin.
Hmm...I like those...I wonder if they abbreviate well...they're kind of mouthfuls, and I find I always like shorter animals names..."here little gutty...." "here, little raga..." Hmmm...well, we'll definitely put those in the list of possibilities.

King Mob and Ragged Robin are my favorites.
could we give one of them a gender identity crisis perhaps?
