Pop culture sucks when representing any kind of love anyways. (says the person that is still waiting for that knight in shining armor to go frolic with her on the beach)
I have to say though that I don't get the misrepresentation of lesbians in pop culture. How is seeing two guys together (something that has become non taboo lately) better than seeing two women together?
For example there was a great pairing on Grey's Anatomy at the beginning of this season, two female doctors, both beautiful and great. But they ruined it before I could even blink. They said they weren't well received by the audience. That's a load of crap if you ask me. /rant over
