Oh Lord have I been unproductive and uncommunicative lately. I think maybe taking 17 hours of classes was a mistake, because I just want to sleep all the time (and I am so screwed when I have to get a real job). But I did manage to finally finish this in time for the deadline after sitting on the rough draft for three weeks, so yay for me!

That was lovely and sexy, and of course a little sad. I felt sad for Riza, and hoped they would be able to be together again. And this line was expecially well done:

Winry is not the same person that Riza was, and she is still young enough to believe that sex comes from love and that both those things are supposed to be sweet.

Thank you so much! I feel so sorry for Riza and the rest of them, because King Bradley's division of Roy's unit was really brutal (and, wow, working directly under Wrath must suck so much). But I love all of the scenes that Winry and Riza have had in the manga, and I like to play around with that contrast of innocence and experience.

Yay, thank you! I really like the pairing too, and I'm kind of surprised that I haven't seen more of it given the way they interact sometimes in the manga.

I loved this too- There are so many elements here that really drew me into the story- Riza acknowledging her loneliness, the references to the sadness around the Hughes family and the sentiments behind the line "We should all wish for that kind of strength," she whispers, and this line But those memories don't belong here, in this bed - Winry is not the same person that Riza was, and she is still young enough to believe that sex comes from love and that both those things are supposed to be sweet.

Very lovely yuri fic! Do you cross post to comms often?

Thank you so much! I think it's a really interesting dynamic that Ms. Arakawa set up with both Winry's relation to Gracia and her relationship with Riza, and it's just so fun to play around with.

And yeah, I usually cross post a lot, but this is my first fic in the fandom so that's why you probably haven't seen me around on them :D
