Excuse me, Mr Gates, but I don't recall asking you to switch my mail to Windows Live. If I'd wanted to beta test your new toy I would have offered to. I don't want to. Please to be giving me back my hotmail noaw.

This new thing is slow to load, won't show me my entire inbox on one screen and I can't find anything!

And I can no longer log straight in - I have to log into my other account [from whichever name comes up on the page] then sign out and go to the one I want. If I sign straight in, it thinks about it very hard then comes up 'cannot find server', or any other hotmail site, for 20 minutes until it gets its knickers out of a twist!

Weird. Mine is at least letting me log in as normal, it just looks odd once I've signed in.

Hmm, at the ability to comment on lj straight from hotmail, which suddenly vanished a couple of years back, appears still not to work. What's the point in looking like you have a function if that function doesn't work?!

Generally I like change and new shinies, but I've been perfectly happy with my hotmail as it was for eight years. I don't need bells and whistles, I just need to quickly and easily get at my mail.

One good thing I will say is that, with the silver skin applied, it at least looks less like hotmail if you're sneakily checking mail at work.

I do have a gmail account, though I've never used it because I was happy with hotmail. I even installed a whole new browser just to be able to use gmail, because it didn't like Safari (I installed Mozilla). Not sure how gmail feels about Camino, which is my main browser these days.

I'm starting to get used to it, but it's still taking me longer to do most things - even find the delete button!

mine got changed over a couple of weeks ago. the only thing I do like is the ability to now mark messsages as unread, which I depend on at work on OUtlook to be able to read a message, then mark as unread so I know I still have to deal with it - now I can do that on hotmail. Otherwise I want the old one back!

That is quite useful, actually, though I've not tried it yet.

Also, with the silver skin it's less obvious than hotmail.
