The Jeff Buckley version is far better than Rufus Wainwright. I can't hear it without crying. It's the most heartbreakingly sad song anyway and it reminds me of Sherrie, and therefore I haven't been able to hear it at all for months without collapsing in a big ungainly sobbing heap. So imagine how I was at the end of ER last night. Thank g_d for celestial seasonings tension tamer calming tea!

Nah, I prefer the Rufus.

It did make for much crying, though.

Ray!

And sad sad Neela.

Sad sad squished Neela.

The bastard writers never properly gave us Ray/Neela!

ER does do bastard end of series cliffhangers really well.

The Rufus version was in Shrek. Shrek!

I have the Shrek soundtrack and cry whenever it gets to the track.

Last year's finale was rather more dramatic, though, with all the shooting (Jerry!) and Abby on the floor bleeding and Luka tied to the gurney.
