You know that feeling you get when you finish reading an entire series of books in one go and don't really know where to go from there? 'Cause you're still kinda in that world and entering another seems blasphemous, but you really need to read 'something' because you've had that steady flow of book stimulus for so long that you can't go cold turkey ( Read more... )

*lol* I take it you're feeling the Harry withdrawals? So with you.

That script class sounds Amazing!! Can I poke you to post it to LJ? Post it, post it! Also, y'know, you should totally meet my Filmmaker Friend ... she did write the script for her thesis film and was discussing her latest idea with me on Saturday. Again, I wonder about the practical and technical differences between screen and stage scripts.

Also, fucking moron people about the 'my turn' bit. My Aunt had that for freaking years and she always always held her ground cos she never intended to have children. Of course then I came along and deflected all such questions by going "What she does need kids for? She's got ME!"

I say 'have a fit'. You're totally entitled. And people need to join the new millennium.

Heh, no not Harry. I actually got a great feeling of closure when I finished Deathly Hallows. Enough so that I was happy enough to move on to something else. No I bought a big 5-books-in-one omnibus thingy of a series of Star Trek books, which I devoured in two days, then kinda looked around me and said 'guh'. Moved on to 'The Once and Future King' now though, so it's all good.

What did you want me to post? My script? It's only a light comedy thing (which is something of a departure for me) but I will if you'd like to read it.

Heh, go your aunt!

The problem with throwing a fit is that I'd have to explain to them that the reason I'm not pregnant is that Steve and I are having problems and totally not having sex right now. And I'm really not ready for that shit to hit the fan yet...

Ahhhhhh ... holy mother of god, woman, you're the only person I know who actually reads more than me. Bloody awesome. And man, I read those books so long ago that now you're making me think I should again.

YES! Post your script! Unless of course it'd be murder to format in which case I totally understand and jump up and down, asking that you email it over.

You know I did a semester of scriptwriting in uni, right? Just in case you were wondering why the rabid enthusiasm.

Ouch! *sends you and Steve good vibes* Boy, that's a difficult situation. Here's hoping enough frosty silences will defer the 'my turn' hints. Families ... *sighs heavily*

I've never actually read them before, but I'm thoroughly enjoying them so far. It's reminding me of 'A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court' in some ways.

I'm not sure how the formatting will go, but I'll try. I wrote it with a program called Celtx, which is specifically for scripts (stage and screen) and it formats automatically. I'll copy it into word tomorrow and play around with it though and see how I go. The boss won't be in and I don't have much work, so I'll have time to try and beat it into submission.
