I went to see The Kid the other week, which is currently playing at the Stables. Ooooh it was good. I'm attempting to drag Nick to see it (along with the new guy, who I am yet to meet).
Hmmmm ... not having seen this kid, colour me cynical ... cos come on, LUKE!! Luke with the ... LUKE! Who you just watched snog the face off Hayley for a good five or ten minutes.
*sighs, lapses into bad lusty memories of the Drama Theatre*
Erm, yes. What was I saying? Right. LUKE!
Which reminds me. Before you see The Serpent's Teeth as far away as it is, I command beg you to watch Tom White. Cos did you end up seeing The Nightwatchman last year or did you miss that? Cos that's Daniel Keene and omigod fucking LEGEND! If I could write like Daniel Keene ... nnnngggghhhh. Speaking of unlikeable characters ... *nod*
You know what? Lovely as that snog was, it would have been even better if it had been between Luke and Akos...
You really should go and see The Kid. I'd actually be very interested to get your reaction to him. One of the reasons I'm going again is to see whether he's really that good, or whether I went temporarily insane.
I missed The Nightwatchman. It ran just before I discovered theatre. Nick saw it the first time he went to the Stables, and he liked it there so he took me along to the next thing he went to, which was October.
Haven't seen Tom White, but I'll make sure I see it before The Serpent's Teeth. Got a while though. I've got The Year of Magical Thinking and Rock 'n' Roll before that.
Oh argh, I KNEW I shouldn't have looked at the Griffin site! Now I'm all tempted and holy fuck yes he does look very much like Dean. Eek. I might see if I can buy a ticket for the last week of the season cos yeahhhhh, you know me and my penchant for unlikeable male characters.
Ooh, I see you're going to see Don't Say The Words. That could be Kosky brilliant or really crap with the adaptation of Greek tragedy --- I studied that fucking play in uni --- so I'll definitely keep an eye peeled for your review. And Tender sounds fascinating ... *makes mental note*
See, I KNEW there was a reason I was keeping away from the Griffin site! God, they do such interesting stuff. And god, I'm so glad to be under 30.

Sorry, it's garbled and I'm late. Or something.
