Katie is down in Georgia attending the funeral of the husband of her mom's best friend, ldy_guinevere 's boyfriend is here for the weekend and therefore the cats have been banished from the apartment.  (He's super allergic.)

Just to make you sob a little about the NaNo thing, my friend Rie finished hers yesterday.

By finished, I don't mean broke the minimum word count, I mean finished her story.

She finished it a full week early.

It's 78,000 words long.

And she wrote it in her second language. (She is Mexican, but wrote it in English).

Just let that sink into your brain. :D She scares me.
