So.

I haven't been taking care of myself super well lately. Not really badly either, mind you. Mom apparently told childminerva  that I passed out from not eating two or three weeks ago, but I don't remember that happening for months. Because, yes, I have been known to do that.

It's more stuff like not giving a damn about school, putting off doing laundry ( Read more... )

dammit, friends, family, downswing

About the whole "gordan" thing...you dumbass. Is there any way we could write over it with the correct rune or whatever?

About the rest...
I don't know what to tell you about the whole mom thing. From what little (yes, little) I've told you about my relationship with my own mother, you know that I understand where you're coming from. And that I don't have the answers. But I will say that she does love you and whatever you decide about telling her to buzz off, remember that you love her too.

For everything else, know that I'm only a phone call/text/few minutes walk away. *hugs and love*

I'm trying to work the henna thing out. I may try to convert all five runes in the last name into some intricate decoration and have her re-do 'GORDON' below that. Thinkie thinkie thinkie.

Yeah, I think that I'm just going to leave it for the moment. I don't want to just count on working itself out, but I need time to really think this over.

And thanks.

Is there any way you could convert "Gordan" into "Sexypants" or "Motherfrakkin'" and then add "Gordon" at the end? Just a thought.

*hugs*

Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah, I realized a bit later that it doesn't even say "GORDAN," it says "GODAN." There's no R, and I am SUUUUUUCH a dip.

I've had the depression since about 7th grade, too. DAMN those middle school years, ushering in the cruel realities of the cursed world of adulthood!

So if you ever want to talk...

*hugs* Remember I have futon if you ever need it, and am only a hop skip and a leap away. About the Gordon thing, thank you for making me laugh. On the upside, other than you how many people on campus can actually read runic, so you won't have to explain it to everyone atleast and just think, less than a month till we get to see Kavan and Chuck and Bill and David and Jason and Dan!!
And for the whole mom thing...at least she cares? My mom did the whole your own your own thing and I missed her desperately...but I kinda know what you mean...

The only thing is that the tat is for me, not the ignorant masses... and now it makes me sad. ::cries::

I'm scrubbing at it daily and it is fading a little faster. The thing that I didn't put on there (because I didn't realize it until later) is that it doesn't even say "GORDAN" instead of "GORDON," it says "GODAN." There's no R. And I'm a moron. And I don't like being reminded of it every time I look at my arm because I'm a DIP! AAAAAAAAAAH! pooh.

*patpat* Have you thought about seeing a doctor? I ended up on "happy pills" junior year after visiting my family practitioner, and it was wonderful. I felt like myself for the first time in, like, a year. And I'm not on them anymore either, so it's not like medication has to be permanent. It might help! :)

I hope things with your mom work out. Perhaps you could ask her politely to knock instead of walking in? She probably doesn't even realize that it bothers you, and it's a habit or something if you've said something about it before.

Don't worry, if it's in runic, nobody but you and other nerds is going to notice the misspelling. And at least it's not permanent! ;)

Oh, and in case you don't see my LJ post, I'm coming down to Staunton the weekend after next. :)

I've thought of going to see a doctor, but the idea makes me wierd, and besides that I can't afford anyfink right now (funny how registering for a con will do that to one's bank account).

I did ask her to knock before entering and she said that makes sense. Now I just need to make sure she knew I meant ALL of the time, not just when the basement door is closed, because it almost never is (kitty flow).

And it's not the fact that someone else will know, it's that I will! It's the principle of the thing! Nooooo! But I've been scrubbing at it and that does seem to make it fade faster. I've gone over some of the other henna tats recently, so it looks much less evident by comparison. Yay!

And no, I hadn't seen your post. You're coming down! Wheeeeee! So much yay! What do you want to see when? (Asks your official scalper.) King Lear is frakking AMAZING but it not, ya know, the biggest upper in the cannon. Twelfth Night is hyyyylarious and there are a plethora of wigs (Greg's wins though. Oh dear). Well, keep it in mind if things get worse, for sure!

Maybe you need a standing sign that you can put in the middle of the doorway saying "Please Knock even if door is open" to remind her. 'Cause that would be hard to remember, if the door is open. Or you could install a kitty door. XD

Less noticeable is good! Will you re-do it once it fades enough? :D

Measure for Measure gets our vote! (Which is kind of amazing, since Jonathan picked that one before I looked at the performance times, and I was thinking that Saturday night would be the best option for us.) Thanks! What will we do when you graduate?? ;) LOL As far as seating, I'm thinking audience spots this time, not on the stage, but I don't have much of a preference for where, other than a good spot, which you have more experience of than I do. :)
