Sci-Fi Channel movies do, by definition, suck. But if we're talking just general science fiction, I'd say it's a 50-50 ratio (like Star Trek movies are on again, off again). And then there are the awful sci fi movies like Stargate that spawn incredible, terrific spinoff shows like SG-1 and Atlantis. It's really a very complex issue.

Like the Sci-Fi Chan movie Shatner wrote. It was awful as only a Sci-Fi Chan movie can be.
