Drabble Game Revisited

This is a game created by angelgazing, who said,

Put your music folder/playlist on random, pick a line from the first five songs and use them as titles for five drabbles/ficlets.

Well, I did. I picked my songs in a previous postI also decided to challenge myself by making each one set in a different fandom. And then I started writing, and they seem to be ( Read more... )

Oh, these are beautiful! :D Seriously. This?

Was there a line drawn in the sand somewhere, that said two people who only had each other to lean on, shouldn’t lean?

I love that line.

And the Mal/Serenity? Excellently done. Ooh, this meme led to some very awesome fic.

Aw, thanks! I was really pleased with the SPN fic, it just seemed to flow nicely. And that line is totally my favorite, too. Not to pat myself on the back or anything. :)

The Mal/Serenity I struggled with, so it's good to know you liked it!

Thanks, and thanks again! Witchblade holds a special place in my heart, cuz it was the first fandom I ever really got involved for. It killed me when it got cancelled!

I'm so glad to find another fan!

I was never into the fandom on that show... was before I really got into fandom... but I loved that show....

Cathan... the eps with the Irish singer were my fav. I want him as my own! :)

Oh, I loved him, too. Conchobar. Yum. I was also a big Gabriel fan. I just thought he was a great character.

That was the fandom that got me into fanfic, fanvids AND comic books. My life will never be the same. :)

Can't comment on any of the others, but Mal and Serenity.... it's the pairing no one realized, but the truest there is. Amazing!

The more I think about it, the more true it seems. I mean, really. Love at first sight. And they're so alike. :)

Thanks for the feedback! :) I wasn't sure how that one was going to go over. :)

Lovely Supernatural Drabble.

Was it here, as he showed his brother wordlessly, with the gentleness of lips and tongue and lingering touches, how much he needed him?

and It was about giving what was needed, being what was necessary.

Such a nice word flow, and the story is complete despite its brevity.

I'd say you successfully crossed the Wincest divide. I know that's a challenge for you as a writer, as you've said, but you met it here.

Focusing on the love is what makes the Wincest work. That's what would ultimately compel them both.

Thank you! Success is always good...even if it is a step closer to that special hell. :) Of course, warmth right now is not to be sneered at. :)

It's funny, the more little drabbles I do, the more I can see the way it could honestly develop. But I do like my AU, too... :)

Some nice little drabbly things. I didn't read the last as I never watched enough Witchblade as cool as it was, but the rest were well done. Syd and her vengence, think that's cooled a little, but damn it was there in those first eps. Of course Serenity is Mal's best and fav girl. And I liked how Xander was able to get Willow to see her flaws with what looked so effortlessly an act, very in character for them both. Nicely done, all round.

Funny, isn't it, how Syd's just *poof* over him? Especially since she was so upset when he stopped looking for her (even though she was dead)? :)

Thanks so much for reading. It's nice to hear back on the Alias and Buffy fic, too. I was worried about the voice in the Willow & Xander fic. I haven't watched Buffy in a little while, and wasn't sure if I got it right. So, your comment makes me feel MUCH better about that one. :)

Oh, they keep bringing up the Syd angst, which equals her missing him. This season would not have worked with Vaugh, and those first few eps of nothing but angry Syd had me a little wary of last season bad Alias flashbacks. Nice to see how together they've got it now though.

I haven't watched Buffy all that recently either, but they seemed spot on with my memories of them.
