I have tried to call in sick to Starbucks all freaking day. They've apparently been swamped - didn't even answer the phone several times. There is apparently a new person & they are somewhat short-handed. It's a Friday night - a typical crazy night since the store is just next to the movies ( Read more... )

As a customer, I would rather not be served by a contagious person. Call me crazy....

Plus, if you pass it to the other workers, they will have NO QUALMS about calling in sick. So you might as well enjoy the legit excuse.

Yeah - the congaious thing is what put me over the edge. The thing is the 20 year old supervisors** don't seem to get that. Whatever.

**this is directed specifically at these people not all 20 year olds. He told me I may get written up. Again, I say, whatever. It's not like I'm going out to party.

I'm just ticked at the store manager who doesn't have enough staff to cover these things. But he's quitting & doesn't care. Wonder why I'm sick of this place? Shyeah.

I'm a big believer in staying home and taking care of yourself when you're sick. Especially if you're contagious.
