Ok, so...a lot of River players tend to emphasize her cryptic responses. It often ends up feeling like really pretty nonsense, which isn't River. It doesn't help that some Rivers I've played with never have lucid moments. But in canon, has moments where what she says is very simple and to the point, and you nail those.
When your River does give an answer that would have people kind of puzzling over, it still makes sense when you look at the larger context. She's a deep, complex kid with more in her brain than random statistics and word salad. What you have yours say is pretty but that's a side-effect; it has a purpose, most of all. Which is River all over.
I do try to keep her wacky-talk grounded in what's going on since, as you said, most of what she says in her puzzle-speak makes sense if you stop and think about it. I'm glad that's coming across well!
...I know nothing about Supernatural's version of Lucifer, but I am loving you and their interactions immensely.

I swear it only works when I've got good players to bounce her off of. Thank you so much. <3
Can I ask what in particular gives her the feeling of 'realness', so I know what to focus on?
