Are you slowly stockpiling 1000 little presents that you're going to shower her with in September? This won't be any consolation, but yeah, September seems ages away - that's when Heather returns from South America and I can't wait to see her!
When I was in Japan I always found that making (and receiving) care packages for my family made me feel heaps closer to them, even if it was just handwritten notes and random photos and small items I'd picked up that I thought they'd like.
I know, I was looking through some videos I have of him from around February and I just can't believe how he has gone from being squawling new-born immobile worm-thing, to crawling laughing infant! He is nearly all grown up!
I know, I need to put a brick on his head to slow him down. He stands next to me when I run his bath (he loves watching the bubbles), and he looks so big and mature. Something about it makes me think of all those Huggies commercials. Then I think, man, I should be five inches taller, a hell of a lot slimmer, about six-seven years older and married to some guy that wears a suit to work. With a big backyard and a perfect suburban house.

How's the Kate monster? How's the you-monster handling absence of Kate-monster?
