There's a lot to say and nothing to say at all.

I've been very full of doubt as of late - mostly about my writing, which is frankly nothing new but lately it has been more tiring than usual.

I'm tired of having no confidence about it. I'm tired of thinking it's all no good and looking for reassurances. I want to do something about it, but I don't ( Read more... )

Well, you do have someone who teaches writing hanging on your every Sherlock-porny word, if that helps.

Have you tried a writing group? Sometimes having a group of people to kick things around with can be helpful. Also, could you consider taking a class? You wouldn't necessarily have to write slash in there, but it might help you feel more confident in your skills.

Hope that some of this is helpful. (Also, where on earth was that photo taken? It's amazing!)

Hey there, my name is Heather, aka Daifukulover. I just recently friended you and I was very happy to see that you friended me back. ^o^ And after reading this I can't help but post a comment. You remind me so much of my close friend who is/was/is? a writer and had/has the same problem with her writing. And she kinda sorta gave it up and I would really hate to see the same happen to you. Both you and her feel that your writing is nothing special and both need help with self-esteem issues, as do I, and you both are amazing authors. Seriously. I am usually only a serious fic lover and your first fic that I read was complete fluff, the ever amazing Ginger and oh my god, sweetheart you totally converted me to a fluff lover. I LOVE that fic. And every other fic that I have ever read of yours. You seriously are really gifted. Your writing flows so well and its never boring. Its always interesting and I find myself hooked on the first sentence. You really have a way with words. And I know that a little pep talk posted at 5:04 am (my current ( ... )
