confidential to my prostate

Buddy, seriously, we've been through a lot and you've always been there for me. But this whole prostatitis thing, inflammation, painful urination and hematuria? This isn't cool, bro. I haven't signed into this in awhile, I can't believe that I did right after you posted! Here's hoping for NOT cancer or kidney stones!!

One of my best friends has similar issues (BPH), if it makes you feel any better, and it surely isn't the funnest thing but he's still fully functional... he did stop taking his meds, tho, because he was worried about future side-effects...

i think it was acute prostatitis. acute = caused by bacteria?

But there's also a liver problem. So I'm on antibiotics and and I can't drink for a couple weeks/months until they figure that problem out too. I argue that the liver problem is being caused by the antibiotics, but that's not a whole lot of consolation.

Ugh, I'm sorry, I hope that you're feeling better soon! An infection is MUCH better than any of the other possible problems, though, and it's so good you went in early instead of letting it spread/create scar tissue/etc! If your liver prob is from the antibiotics, then it should go away right after you're off them, right? -- and you can't drink when you're on antibiotics anyhow so really you're not missing out on too much...

wow ditto to kait's comment...i'm never on here either!

but if it's kidney stones, i can be a wealth of information, seeing as my mom has them a lot. they're not fun, but if you drink lots of water, it's not that bad (according to her, at least). and if you need to be on a low oxalate diet, i'm just about finished writing a whole cookbook that's applicable! ; )
