Keaton's hands are healing. We've unbandaged the right hand, permanently. The left is still blistered but he let me wash it yesterday and doesn't scream as much when we change the bandage. Progress. Thank god for sesamestreet.org. Yeah, that's right, after he got burned I changed my anti-TV stance. Anything that gives him a little pleasure and ( Read more... )

What happened to Keaton? I missed that eomehow... Burns are like #1 on my mental fear list for Maks. :(

You fear burns with good reason, Badger. DANG it sucks.

Keaton was "helping" Ali cook last week. Ali pulled a chair over to the oven and when he looked away, Keaton jumped onto the stove (which was on) and burned the crap out of his hands. 1st and 2nd degree burns all over his hands, tons of blisters, ugh. An ER visit and 2 bandaged hands came out of it, and we've been changing them twice a day for the past week, during which Keaton screams like mad.. except when I have sesame street playin' on the computer! then he sometimes gets distracted...

May nothing like this ever happen to Maks!

He is healing up SO well! It's great to see.

Thank you.. but I just feel blech-y. Before Keaton a big part of my identity was tied to being so active. I worked out every day. I ran, I walked, I did yoga. Now I do NOTHING and it's just not good-feeling...

On that note, though, I'm gonna stretch some while Keats sleeps!

I started feeling like an adult for the first time in the last six months. I'm 41. You have time. :)

I don't think I'll ever be an adult. In fact, I regressed after getting married, letting Andrew deal with all the bills and finances and stuff. You'll always be way more adult than I am. ;)

ha! Regression in that way, maybe, but being married requires adult-ness, I think. At least, IMHO, it's adult-like behavior that has gotten us through rough patches.

I'm glad his hands are getting better. Burns are the worst kind of pain, I think. :(
