I worked 9 hours last Thursday. It was broken up, some in the day, some at night. My MiL watched Keats during the day, my Dad watched him at night. It was too much. Too much activity, stimulation, strangeness. For Keaton and for me. I realized that I don't want to work. I don't want him to be babysat for 8 hours a day. I'm just not ready

I've heard many say that they end up not spending as much as when they worked on things like food or clothes, and so the income hit wasn't as tough as they thought it would be. Plus, there are some tax advantages that help to balance it all out.
Hooray for going with your gut and doing what's right for you and your family!

Dude, I found a Continental flight leaving on a sunday returning on a thursday to Newark for $250! If we can swing it financially I think Keats and I will go in April. He flies FREE!
