3 cm dilated, 80% effaced, baby fully engaged at 0 station. Being checked for this hurt like hell, wtf? MM says labor in the next week-ish. Maybe next weekend ( Read more... )

Marina was 2cm dialated and 80% effaced... 3 days later we had a baby...

Excellent news! Even if you walk around like that for another week, you can take comfort in the fact that you've done this much work before labor ever starts. I figure the more dilation/effacement you get out of the way now, the better, right? That's like, three hours of labor for lots of moms! Yay!

I gained 37 lbs. with Thing 1 and 36 lbs. with Thing 2 and have the stomach to prove it. 21 lbs. is NUTHIN, girl!
