Sep 04, 2008 16:50

Just got back from the 39 wk midwife appointment. At one point she said "you've been pregnant for 100 years now, right?" and all I could do was nod, because that's what it feels like ( Read more... )

big babies = healthy babies, right? i obviously have no idea.

Dude, with all the yoga you do, you'll pop that baby out in no time! You could prolly even deliver him upside down and shoot him up and Ali can catch him. It'd be awesome (except kinda messy, so maybe not so awesome).

Man, he better get there BEFORE we visit because I wanna see him! Tell him Auntie Bren is commanding he come out forthwith! Or something. I'll buy him a pony?

I like SNOL better. Sounds more like snort. SNOL!

Oh, and I made up a new one the other day: roflapimp
(rolling on floor laughing and peeing in my pants)

SNOL ROFLAPIMP!

That sounds like Swedish.

Oh and what's a fundal measurement and does that correlate to baby coming out sooner?

fundal measurement is basically the measurement of my belly, pubic bone to top of uterus. they say it's usually ~ 1 cm per week preggers, and then at the end of the pregnancy is shrinks because the baby "drops." It apparently has no correlation to baby popping out, though, 'cause everyone's normal measurement is different. It IS a good way to tell whether or not the pregnant lady can BREATHE. since growing so much this past week I've found that the baby's bum is lodged in my ribs and I'm having to gasp for air and stretch my arm up often to avoid cramping. Ooooooh joy!! He better come out soon, the bugger.

Ooo... that sounds uncomfortable. Having asthma, I know how frustrating not being able to breathe is. :(

Every time you don't answer a post immediately now I think you've gone into labor. Ha!

Question: Does he have a Halloween costume yet? I saw something I wanted to get him... ;)

breathe is important, it turns out!

Unfortunately it looks like it'll be at least 1 but probably 2 more weeks til I go into labor. :( So no need to worry about it yet! I'll email everyone as soon as he's born, too, so you'll know as soon as possible!

He does not have a costume but I worry he'll be too small to make one necessary! I might paint on his face or somethin', though, for fun pictures. :)

If you have him on Sept 22 and he's 8 lbs 6 oz, he'll be my mini-male twin, forty years late. ;)

This site is not letting me reply to your comment!!! Here goes one more try:

That is actually VERY much a possibility! The midwife says not to expect him til at least the 20th and he's already pushin' 8 lbs, so....

TWINS!
