It looks like I have hypothalamic amenorrhea due to excessive stress, exercise and dieting. My body finally responded to the hormone treatment and gave us some clues about what's going on. Now, lesson learned: Chill out. Right? The hormones are great for jumpstarting things back in the right direction but you WILL relax in all ways, yes? Promise? No more overkill on the dieting and exercise. The body is an amazing thing. It knows exactly when it can't handle gestating a baby because it's been pushed to the brink and so, it shuts down the appropriate parts. I find that biologically fascinating. Now that it's gotten it's jumpstart, it's up to you to keep it there. Good luck!

The biology IS fascinating, and so is the body's steadiness despite a frantic mind, if that makes sense. My body will keep on doing what it needs to do regardless of the directions I dart in my mind. And DUDE, I am soo glad to have an excuse to stop running for good! long walks with my dog are so much more rewarding. Now I just hope I don't get obese from it. I wish I shared your/Melanie's/Clay's build.... If only you could bottle that up and sell it!

De-stressing is difficult. One thing I had to do for a while was give up caffeine. It tended to exacerbate my inability to cope with stress.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE MAIL, btw. :) That was SUPER cool and totally unexpected. But DUDE how is that shirt a large? Is it kid-sized? Very comfy tho and should fit fine once I lose a few pounds around the middle.
