News today. Remember the lunatic a few weeks back who said the BVM (that's Blessed Virgin Mary to you non-Irish) would appear at a shrine in Knock in the west of Ireland? And thousands turned up and stared at the sun and then said they saw the BVM dancing in a sunbeam?

The ridiculousness of it all makes me cackle manically.

While the people should have been clever enough to not stare into the sun, I find it highly irresponsible of anybody to actually encourage them to do so! *shakes head*

It's a win-win situation if someone sues.

If they win, the nutjob who encouraged them to stare at the sun is even more discredited.

If they lose, it's because they shouldn't have been moronic enough to stare at the sun in the first place.
