"God told Moses to take his shoes in verse 5 because he was standing on Holy Ground. But you know what, I think God also wanted Moses to get his running away gear off. When God begins calling me, I walk faster. When God calls out to me, I begin to speak a bit louder. I make bargains with God. I give all sorts of reasons to God. I make excuses to God."

i like that. didn't like the start though, felt like i was being "harvested". like spice on dune. mm.

"You have no idea what a liberating revelation this was for me. It is not my job to convince anybody. It is not my job to convince people of God’s grace. That’s God’s job. It is not my job to make God look good. It’s our job to simply present it. To present His love. His mercy. His grace. You see, if we convince people His love, His mercy, His grace, we’re putting ourselves before God. That’s not ministry, that’s manipulation. And there’s a fine line there that we have to be careful to walk. "

yes but how do you deal with people who endulge in sexual sin, and then take the " shower of grace" and fool themselves into thinking they are in God's favour?

what about those you continue to be a slave to sexual sin?

Firstly, i don't think sexual sin is any better or worse than any other type of sin. I believe that Christ has come to give each and every Christian the power to be free from any bondage that enslaves us. Whether it be substance, sexual, gambling or whatever unhealthy addictions.

For those people who continue to persist in sin, I believe that if they are in Christ, the Holy Spirit will convict them of their sin. It is not our job to be God. It is our job to come alongside in community to help them on their faith journeys, support them through prayer and service to one another and reflect God's love into each and every situation.

God doesn't need us to be perfect for him to use any of us. What He needs is for us to be consecrated and surrendered in all areas of our lives in order for us to be used for the purpose that he or she was created for.

Agreed about sexual sin being no better or worse than any other, however, if the church you attend does not dissuade the people ( ultimately it is theor choice of course) that homosexuality is a sin then how can you have a church which is user frindly for sin?

if we are in sin be it sexual or otherwise then you cannot serve God hence thats why its important in this case homosexuals are encouraged that what they are doing is a sin. Otherwise wont prayers hit the brass ceiling of heaven from thast church?

if you have been following my journal, i've dealt with this issue from time to time. here are a couple of articles that you can look at as food for thought:

http://www.oursafehaven.com/articles/whatthebiblesays.pdf

i recommend the first one especially. which will give you different perspectives on the matter. i don't agree 100% with either article, but i want you to realize that the gay issue is quite a bit more complex than many churches understand it to be.

god bless you in your own faith journey.

If I could only weep,
I think sweet help with my salt tears would come,
To ease the cruel pain that is so dumb,
And will not let me sleep.

some good messages in FCC but the heavens are " brass" as there is abomination in the church as they endorse a gay lifestyle, not renouncing it is endorsing it.

Is god going to answer their prayers, well the devil is convincing them he is, yet read some of the members LJ's there sleeping man to man, God finds that an abomination.
There is so much desire for homosexuality there, God will not accept "the way we are", heard about dying to self? cutting out the dross and aiming as far as possible to lead a life in accordance with God's will.

Why does FCC endorse homosexuality?

If you are seeking an official response on the position of the church on homosexuality and have your questions answered, you are looking at the wrong forum to get it as this is my personal journal ( ... )

I can't believe you can take yourself seriously ranting about god and whatnot like its reality. You people are truly pathetic, weak minded sheep.
