Mylinh's wedding was in Monterey - which is a 3.5 hour drive from Folsom.

If we weren't family, Danh and I would have declined since the drive down was such a pain!  Ethan refused to nap in the car on the way down, so we had to deal with a cranky crying toddler in the car.  Not fun.  Not fun at all.

The backlight on my laptop screen finally died.  It went kaput on Saturday morning.  At first, I thought my whole laptop died!  That would have been a disaster!  Seriously!  I have all sorts of important stuff on this thing!  Most of it is backed up on another system... but not all of it.  I would have lost about one to two months worth of stuff ( Read more... )

Toddler Bed Success

Last night, Ethan got into his toddler bed and fell asleep in it!  Though he did end up waking up around 4:30 AM and made me put him back in his crib.  ^_^;  Still, once I put him back in his crib, he fell asleep again!  I'd say that counts as a success!  Hopefully, we'll be able to pack up the crib in a couple of months.

What the HELL is wrong with the giant's wife?

I'm a huge fan of fairy tales.  When I was a kid, I used to scour the public libraries for books on fairy tales.  I read all of the Grimm brothers' collections and every single fairy tale collection by Andrew Lang.  I adored stories about magic and princes and princesses and good triumphing over evil.  ( Read more... )
