Make 'Em Laugh

Public broadcasting is doing a documentary on humor and comedy called "Make 'em Laugh." It's a noble earnest attempt but it's told in a boring fashion by a dull passionless voice which drains the humor out the material.

Bah, humbug.

The first, on the classics, was funny. The second, on sit-coms, was a waste of video. Never did get to see the rest....

Yes, esp. the second episode was a bit bleh unless you were interested in bio bits of various comics.

Of course, the way modern documentaries go, I'll embrace any doc that doesn't have re-enactments or repetitive, hi-sfc sound bites using up time when data could be conveyed instead. Too many of them go for the WoW! today instead of helping you learn/understand something you didn't know before.
