Sheesh! Luckily Doug is an expert at all things networky and he helped me make the transition to Mac and then helped me make the transition to wireless. (My MacBook has had no problem finding and joining wireless networks.) Somethings on the Macbook are intuitive and many more are NOT. I blame it on the fact that Apple went from the original Mac operating system that they stole from Xerox (efficient, user-friendly, good help) to UNIX (which I've always found powerful, but cryptic and user-hostile). While in so doing, the Mac lost several of the applications that I had always found most useful (like draw/paint), and the new applications (iDVD, iMovie) are not intuitive. (They had even Doug pulling his hair out.)
But my experience with Vista was hell even with the assistance of a Windows/network expert (shawna_7's brother). Mind you, it might not be that bad if I give that machine one more try, but I haven't.
